Julia's Sophomore Update #2

It has nearly been one month since school started up again, which means it is time to write another article about how sophomore year is going.

This first month of the year has already been crazy busy. Like I predicted, it’s very hard to juggle all aspects of high school: clubs, sports, friends, family, academics, and anything else you want to throw in there. I have realized that if you enjoy all of these things, it makes the struggle of being busy well worth it.

While thinking about this, here is a list of a few things to remember that have helped me through this month.

1. Do not procrastinate! This year has taught me that deadlines are closer than they appear. Although you may think you can get a whole summative done in one night, it is a lot less stressful to start it early.

2. Do not overthink… It is hard not to stress about little things, but life is more enjoyable when you are not constantly stressed. My advice is to relax and find other things to think about.

3. Surround yourself with positivity. Take these first few months of the school year to find clubs, sports, and people who make you feel good. It is important to find these things!

Although this list is not very long, the school year did just start! Hopefully the next month of school will be just as good, if not better than this first month has been!
