Chinese Honor Society Hosts Annual China Day Event
My name is Dana Schneck, and I am the President of National Chinese Honor Society. I would like to say on behalf of our Honor Society, that we are extremely excited to be hosting our annual China Day this month! China Day is a community-wide event that is a wonderful opportunity for us as to showcase the country’s unique culture.
National Chinese Honor Society recognizes students studying Chinese Language for four or more semesters at the high school and maintaining a B or higher in the course. Members also must complete Chinese related service hours and regularly attend meetings. Some other events that we participate in during the year are Raccoon Rally, the Homecoming Parade, and also Chinese New Year presentations at the Elementary Schools!
China Day will be held on Saturday, October 27th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Oconomowoc Public Library. There will be many activities at the event such as Chinese paper cutting, Chinese games, learning basic Chinese, dragon dances, and a gong fu show. Free Chinese food will also be offered at the event! National Chinese Honor Society hopes to see you all of you there!
