Freshman Football

Going from middle school football to Freshman Football is always a hard transition.  New coaches, new playbook and new expectations, the Freshman Football team has really pushed through it all.  This class was lucky enough to play as one team in 8th grade. Playing together before going into high school was a good way to start a bond that would be necessary heading into high school to continue to perform.  The freshman football team was coached by Jon Fischer, Tyler Enright, Ryan Kase, and Christian Huppert. Also occasionally coached by the Varsity Coaches. All of the Freshman learned to work hard and begin to help create a new culture on the team, and also in the school and community.  The season went well for them. Overall finishing 5-4. Every kid worked together to compete against teams new and old. They began to learn what family meant and making sure they can continue the legacy set before them. To continue representing Oconomowoc in one of the best ways possible.

Head Coach Jon Fischer's comments on the season

“The adjustment from middle school to high school is a challenging one. I thought these young men handled the transition well. The team started out strong winning their first 5 games. The next few games didn’t go our way, but they continued to battle and get better every day. The future is bright.”
