My Top 3 Favorite Christmas Cookie Recipes

Here are my three favorite Christmas cookie recipes. They are all easy and relatively quick to make!

Peanut Butter Blossoms

½ cup softened butter

½ cup granulated sugar

½ cup brown sugar

½ cup peanut butter

1 egg

2 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 ¾ cup flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

1 bag of Hershey Kisses

¼ cup sugar, for rolling (optional)

  • Preheat oven to 375.

  • Combine all ingredients except Hershey Kisses and extra rolling sugar into a large bowl.

  • Mix all ingredients together until well combined (mixer recommended) .

  • Roll dough into small balls about one inch in diameter, than role the balls into the extra sugar. Place them on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.

  • Immediately after you take the cookies out of the oven, place the Hershey Kisses on top of the cookie, press it down so the cookies crack a bit. They will melt into the cookie so I would recommend putting them in the cook after it cools for about 10 minutes.

Dark Chocolate Candy Cane Cookie

2 cups flour

¼ cup dutch cocoa powder

¼ cup black cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon sea salt

1 cup butter at room temperature

½ cup granulated sugar

1 cup light brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon peppermint extract

1 bag white chocolate (melted)

Crushed candy canes

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powders, baking soda, and salt.

  • In another bowl, using a standard mixer, beat butter and sugars until it becomes light and fluffy. Reduce speed, than add egg and peppermint extract. Beat until well combined. Then add flour mixture and mix.

  • Chill dough for at least one hour or over night.

  • Preheat oven to 350.

  • Scoop dough onto baking sheet.

  • Bake for about 10 minutes.

  • Let the cookies cool on pan before transfering to a cooling rack.

  • Dip the cookie in the melted white chocolate. Place on parchment paper and sprinkle on crushed candy canes.

Christmas Sprinkle Cookie

1 cup unsalted butter

1 cup sugar

1 egg

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

½ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon baking powder

2 ¼ cup four

Sprinkles (red/white/green)

  • Preheat oven to 350

  • Mix together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Then mix in egg and vanilla extract.

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together baking soda, baking powder, and flour. Slowly mix this bowl in with your wet ingredients. Mix until well combined.

  • Place sprinkles on a plate. Scoop out 1 ½ tablespoons of dough and place in the sprinkles. Roll dough until completely covered with sprinkles.

  • Bake cookies for 10 minutes.
