Lilly's Quick Hits

Brewers @ Pittsburgh

Single: A wild pitch from Tanner Anderson gets past Elías Díaz scores Curtis Granderson in the top of the third. The Pirates pitching staff has been struggling all game.

Double: Christian Yelich Hit his 32nd home run for the 2018 season to give the Brewers a 4-0 lead in the top of the second. Last season Yelich hit 18 home runs with the Marlins. This year since the All-Star break he has reached his total of 18 home runs.

Triple: Lorenzo Cain played his first game back since his two games off due to being on the disabled list and he reached base 4 times. Having Lo Cain back for the playoffs is going to help the team tremendously.

Home Run: The Brewers cleared the bases with a wild pitch from Feliz and an error due to a bad throw from the first baseman. The Brewers knowledge on the bases has set them aside from all of the other teams.

Brewers @ St.Louis

Single: Pitcher Gio Gonzalez comes through with a single in the top of the fourth which score Jonathon Scoop. Having pitchers that can hit as well as pitch good is something that will be needed going into the playoffs.

Double: Jesus Aguilar and Ryan Braun start the night off big both with a home run in the top of the first. Having multiple guys on the team at this point in the season who can hit these big hits are going to give the team that final push they need to make a run in the playoffs.

Triple: Christian Yelich hit a triple in the top of the fourth which scored three more runs for the Brewers. The National League Player of the week continues to contribute to the team and make Milwaukee a threat to other teams as the postseason approaches.
Home Run: Late in the game left fielder Ryan Braun hit a two-run home run and right fielder Christian Yelich hit a three-run home run to give the Brewers a bigger lead against the Cardinals of 12-4. Having big hits late in the game will surely get the Crew into the postseason.
